Basic Training
Family Law 101

Learn the big four building blocks of family law: kids, support, property, and fees . . .

Focusing on the BIG FOUR: kids, support, property and fees, Family Law 101 teaches key concepts and terminology, as well as the essential statutes and cases that are the building blocks of this complex specialty. Ideal for new attorneys or those interested in reviewing the basics. This course teaches the fundamentals needed to make family law issue watching and name recognition second nature. Develop substantive knowledge and expertise in order to stay competitive in this dynamic field! Family Law 101 is an excellent preparatory course for our more advanced family law courses.

Course Overview: Family Law 101 is designed with attorneys in mind, focusing on law, while remaining basic enough to benefit support staff as well. Discover which cases are part of the top 40 list that all family law professionals need to know! It lays the groundwork for understanding more advanced courses, such as Family Law Refresher (FLRC) and Advanced Family Law (AFLC).

Who Should Attend: Family Law 101 assumes little or no background in family law. Whether you are beginning your family law practice, or just want to brush up on the facts, Family Law 101 provides the substantive knowledge and expertise needed to be competitive. This course also prepares you for our more advanced courses. Family Law 101 and Nuts & Bolts are a complementary pair. Both courses are basic, assume no prior experience, & lay the groundwork for more advanced studies.
